As president of IMARC, Simpson brings an extensive background in loan origination, fraud investigation and loan fraud recovery. Simpson spent 10 years as a loan broker, so he knows how loan officers and real estate agents close loans. Simpson is an expert in spotting key factors in any fraud file that indicate who committed the fraud, what the fraud was, and how the fraud took place.

Simpson's experience as a lawyer allows him to understand examination of evidence and the value of good judgment. Simpson has lectured nationwide on the subject of mortgage fraud and has been invited to speak at local and national conferences, including National Mortgage Bankers conventions, the FBI Annual Financial Institution Fraud Seminar, and the California Mortgage Bankers convention.

Simpson has been cited as a reliable source by many news organizations. In February of 2009, the CBS show "60 Minutes" stated, "To understand what was happening in the mortgage industry, we went to Bob Simpson, whose company, IMARC, investigates failed mortgages."
